My parents had some windows like that, I’m wondering if perhaps they may come in handy with the new, fancy seating chart we’re doing. And, I have a bridesmaid who has some amazing handwriting.

And recently, they have become popular in weddings. I’m actually thinking it has a lot to do with an issue of Martha Stewart Weddings (which I own). No matter the reason, I think it’s fun.

Their abandon is fabulous. I want it.

I’m having a hard time caring about the little things at this point. Okay, that’s a blatant lie. However, rationally, I know that no wedding is perfect. And it is absolutely crazy, CRAZY!, for me to expect it to be. Come the day of, I will just be glad to be married to my love. And that is something that I cannot wait for.

*We may not be marrying. Chet just told me he’s never seen Karate Kid. Ugh.

I love this picture. Don’t know why, it’s probably the giant dinosaur, but I like it.

Anyhow, I’ll show you the ones I’ve fallen in love with, and then know that I must back away… slowly..

I loooove these. They would be so absolutely perfect. But, they are about $1.25 a card, and that my friends, is just too much for me to spend on Thank You cards.

These are just adorable. We may go with these, maybe, if we can’t find anything else that we like. These are $75 for 100 … is that good or bad? I don’t know, but they’re cute!

I like the twisty vines on this one. And the basic drawing/ prettiness of it.

This I think would make a great thank you/christmas card. See, I’m terrible at the whole 2 week etiquette thing: I have graduation Thank You’s to still be sent.

I love this one too. It’s so simple and elegant.

See, it all started when I saw this image from Julie Ke and Jonny’s wedding:

Tell me, is this not beautiful? I fell in love with her dress… and then I saw the bridesmaids dresses.

Okay, seriously. Aren’t these gorgeous? I love them. But there are two issues:
1.) I do not have bridesmaids that I can tell to purchase these dresses thank-you-very-much
2.) I can’t find them anywhere! Seriously. I have looked and looked and looked. Which is what has created my problem.

So, I thought that I would share with you pictures of dresses I like and would probably order my ‘maids to where, if I had had formal ones.

See, here’s my problem with telling my girls that they have to wear certain things. One reason is because I can’t justify asking my wonderful college friends to spend about $100 on a dress they may or may not wear again. The second is because I don’t know if they will be hanging out with us during the ceremony. And if they aren’t.. well, why tell them they have to wear something?

But, my inner control freak is screaming “tell them what to wear! you must be in control! this is not right!!” But, I tell her to shut up, drink a martini and let go.

Because in the end, Chet and I will be married, and that is what really matters.

(Sidenote: I am telling them to all wear black cocktail dresses though. hehe. My justification is the fact that they can choose something that they , and as a bonus, they will wear it again.)

This = Gorgeous. I have no idea how they did that, but it is beautiful. It creates such an elegant atmosphere. And it looks like a giant pillow. Love it!

Isn’t this couple just the sweetest? I love the one of him dipping her. There is just something about this photo that make me happy to look at it.

I also got some great inspiration for my bouquet (yes, I am doing one!) and potentially another way to set up our invitations ( I realize that I am never happy with anything).

Oh, and I got a great idea for a wedding gift for Chet. But that won’t be posted here :-p

And we got them today.

And they are amazing!!

These first 5 were taken near Austin Hall, our wedding venue. The first one is with my favorite Sam statue. The second one is on the steps of where I hope we can say our vows in November. I love the boots. So very Texas. The third one is in the side garden. We were trying to get a decent picture of my “bling”. It kind of worked.

About the photoframe: we saw a super cute photo with a frame that had the couple colored in and everything else black and white. I’m working on getting that done to this photo, but wither way, I love it. The last photo is with our names that we had Chet’s youngest brother, Chey carve in to the wall. It’s tradition to carve your name and graudation date. So we did. It’s also super fitting for us.

These were taken at the library on campus. I liked how most of these turned out. The first one is a little odd, but I’m hoping it grows on me. The second one, however, is beautiful. I love the colors in the background. Art History Journals = gorgeous backdrop.

I also like these with the books. Funny story about the one in between the shelves: It took us a bit to get into the right shelves, and then we didn’t even get book titles in the photo Anyway, the first set of shelves we were at were about military. Titles like Everybody’s Guide to Small Claims Court, Blood and Steel, The Medieval Siege and so many more. We decided it wasn’t the best place to take those pictures at.

We found the book in the second photo somewhere in the shelves. I thought the title was perfect.

The park! I love these. Actually, I love all of them, but these are great playful photos. I jumped on Chet’s back and preceeded to pick me up. Which made me squeal. I love the sky though, and the grass. It’s gorgeous.

All in all, the photos turned out beautifully. I am so pleased with Thomas’ work. I wasn’t sure at first, but after seeing these… I am so ready for him to capture our wedding. I think that he captured our spirit, playfulness, and love within these. And that makes me happy.
